Terms & Conditions
WordPress Website Design & Development
These terms apply to all website design and development projects unless otherwise specified in writing.
Payment
Projects under $1,000: Full payment is due before work begins.
Projects $1,000 and over: 50% deposit is due before work begins. The remaining 50% is due upon project completion, before the finished site is launched or transferred.
Payment is due within 30 days of invoice. A 1.5% monthly service charge applies to invoices more than 30 days past due.
Feedback & Approval
Each unique page design includes two rounds of feedback—one major revision, one minor refinement.
You have 7 days to provide feedback on any deliverable. If we don’t hear back within 7 days, the deliverable will be considered approved and we’ll proceed accordingly.
Additional revisions or changes to project scope will be quoted separately.
Cancellation
Either party may cancel the project at any time. If canceled, work completed to that point will be billed at $125/hour, prorated against any deposit already paid. Any remaining deposit will be refunded; any balance owed will be invoiced.
Hosting (Optional)
Managed WordPress hosting is available for $300/year, billed annually. This includes security updates, daily backups, and a free SSL certificate. Hosting is a separate service and not required—you’re welcome to use your own hosting provider.
What You’re Responsible For
You’ll provide all content for the site (text, images, logos, etc.) in a timely manner. You confirm that you have the right to use any materials you supply—we assume everything you provide is yours to use.
If the project is delayed due to missing content or feedback, timelines will adjust accordingly.
What We’re Responsible For
We’ll build your site according to the agreed scope of work, deliver it on a reasonable timeline, and make sure it works properly on modern browsers and devices.
Our liability is limited to the total project fee. We’re not responsible for content you supply or how you use the finished site.
Ownership
Once final payment is received, you own the completed website and can modify it however you like. We retain the right to display the finished work in our portfolio.
The Fine Print
This agreement is governed by the laws of Washington State. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. These terms can only be modified in writing, agreed to by both parties.
By approving a project proposal, you agree to these terms.
